Tiktaalik test

Tiktaalik takes its name from the fossil that first moved from water onto land, and the building wears the idea openly. Each floor steps back from the one below, and every setback becomes a deep planted terrace, so greenery climbs the façade from the boulevard to the roofline.

Inside, studios through two-bedroom homes are arranged to hold the sea in view while the planting filters the afternoon sun. Floor-to-ceiling glazing opens each living room onto its own garden balcony, 150 metres from the water's edge at Qerret.

Drawn to an Italian architectural brief and built to contemporary seismic standards, the tower pairs a sculptural concrete frame with timber-lined soffits and glass balustrades. Homes are offered from €1,350 per square metre, with interest-free payment over three years.
